Ice,
I think having an Indo-Pak league to play in is a great idea. My friend, Benny, and I started one here in Florida 3 years ago. We've completed 4 seasons now and last year the league grew to 64 players on 8 teams. The league starts with a live draft and ends with an All-Star game. We passed on the leadership responsibilities to others and for the most part they've done an excellent job. Every year this league has become more and more exciting and is what Indo-Pak players here in FL look forward to. Frank |

Frank,
Does the league provide the uniforms for the teams to use? When you say a live draft, are you stating that the teams change every year. The dilema we have is do we want to mix and match or do we want to let teams use the league like Chicago and California to build their teams to prepare for the national tournaments. |

The league provides the team t-shirts, and the team changes every year. The championship team has the option to keep their team. No team has repeated as
champions yet back to back. I prefer the California and Chicago idea of keeping the same team for the most part for tournament preparation now because
obviously Florida rarely fields a national team.

Do players have to go through a waiver period before a team can pick them up. In otherwords, let's say in Dallas Rishi does not play the first two games,
then he decides he wants to play, then would the team with the worst record get a shot at him first or is it open free agents. As you can see, if you have a
draft and no FA system in place, then team will just load up. DO you allow trades and does it have to approved.
I think once you create a league, you need to operate it as a league with a commissioner and a committee made up of player/managers. This could turn out to be very interesting. |
